IRHD
BENCH-TOP DIGITAL hardness tester with high accuracy standards
The AFFRI IRHD is a fully motorized hardness tester which determinates the hardness of thermoplastic, rubber and vulcanized rubber samples, in accordance with standardized methods IRHD. (High-definition of 0.01 IRHD).
FULLY AUTOMATIC TEST CYCLE:
1 - Automatic approach and contact to the sample
2 - Clamping of the sample
3 - Execution of the measurement
4 - Release of the sample
The entire test cycle is complete and the result immediately appears on the large display. Fully motorized and automatic, the test is not affected by operator influences and can easily be used by operators of entry level.
MAIN FEATURES:
• IRHD is able to perform tests on various materials and on various shapes and sizes.
• The load forces are controlled with a high-calibrated electronic load cell which assure a perfect and linear load application at every test.
• Clamping system which assures perfect stability of any test piece throughout the test cycle
• The Affri system (Patent AFFRI) assures exact, precise measurements at the very first test
• R&R high performance
• Robust and resistant in every test condition
• No influences from external vibrations on the measurement results
• Hard indenter to guarantee maximum efficiency over the timeLOAD CELL and CLOSED LOOP
Load forces are applied through load cells and electronically controlled in “Closed Loop” (Pat. AFFRI) with a frequency of 1 kHz. Each load force is automatically programmed and controlled assuring perfect linearity in every range eliminating the problems associated with traditional dead weight system testers. Results are not affected by any structural deflection, misalignment or external vibration. Accurate measurements, even on the first test, eliminate the need for multiple tests. There is no need to perform a second test, the first one is absolutely precise. The R&R (repeatability and reproducibility) data is at the top of its class.THE SOFTWARE
IRHD is equipped with a 10.4” LCD touchscreen PC support with USB and Ethernet data outputs for a full connectivity with network devices, printers or keyboards. Remote service and assistance through internet connection. The pre-installed software controls the whole instrument during the entire cycle avoiding operator errors. This software is user friendly and easily managed by touchscreen. It is a powerful analysis system with easy and fast test settings, live statistics and graphs. Large storage of
data and test sessions. Test cycles or sample drawings can be loaded directly from a central system by means of a bar code scanner. This hardness tester gets all information fully automatically. After test run the bar code data are added with results and immediately returned to the order management system.

To perform the test just act on the elevating screw and bring the sample to make contact with the indenter, then pull the START lever and apply the load; within seconds results appear.
• Load forces are applied through a dynamometric load cell
• It is not affected by vibration and it doesn’t need to be leveled
• The Micro IRHD works in any condition due to the Affri System where load forces are directly applied along the indenter’s axis, without ratios and levers
• The visible indenter allows to reach extreme points and small details. Different anvils are provided to accommodate any type of sample.MICRO IRHD (ISO 48 / ASTM 1415)
