kolibri - Optical 3D Digitizing without Reference Markers
 
3D digitizer of the kolibri product range base on the measuring principle of self-calibrating fringe projection. While using normal light a black-and-white striped fringe pattern is projected. By triangulation, similar to the human stereo vision, the 3D coordinates of the object’s surface are captured non-contact by high performing cameras.

The patented utilization of additional stationary cameras enables a multiple- view digitizing without need for reference markers that have to be fixed on the object’s surface. Error-prone image matching, a special object positioning or precise positioning or guiding accuracy is not necessary.

Within the kolibri product range we offer a broad spectrum of industrial optical 3D measuring machines that are available as portable or stationary systems with different degree of automation. The highly accurate 3D coordinates can be used for the following applications:
