Innovative 3D measuring technology - Made in Jena

Our company IVB GmbH is specialized in optical 3D digitizing of surfaces, automation and precision engineering. Our office in Jena/Thuringia is located in the centre of Germany, one of the most dynamic and innovative industrial regions of optics and precision mechanics industries. The companywas founded in 1991 in Jena. Since 1996 we have been developing optical 3D measuring machines.

Today we belong to the leading manufacturers of optical 3D metrology worldwide. Since 1995 we have been cooperating with our strong, local development partner, the Institute of Applied Optics and Precision Mechanics IOF of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft.

IVB GmbH is further membership of the network NEMO "Pro Anatomie" in Dresden as well as in the local innovation cluster "Optische Technologien" JOIN. A developing project of our company was sponsored by the Free State of Thuringia with funds of the European Union within the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Optical 3D Digitizer

Optical 3D Digitizing without Reference Markers. 3D digitizer of the kolibri product range base on the measuring principle of self-calibrating fringe projection. While using normal light a black-and-white striped fringe pattern is projected. By triangulation, similar to the human stereo vision, the 3D coordinates of the object’s surface are captured non-contact by high performing cameras.

Contour Inspection of Optical Parts

3D contour accuracy inspection of optical components. The systems are especially designed 3D digitizers for the non-contact shape record of concave and convex lenses and mirrors (rotation-symmetric and cylindrical aspheres, spheres, planes and free forms) in optics manufacturing industry.

White Light Interferometer
Microstructure Analysis

The white light interometer is used for inspection and characterization of surface. The advantage of the system are the high accuracy resolution in the nm range in combination with an extended measuring range up to several hundred micrometers.

Geomagic Qualify
Quality Inspection Software

CAI software for design and manufacturing engineers. This software enables fast, accurate, easy-to-understand graphical comparisons between CAD models and as-built parts. Automation is built in, with accuracy certified at the highest levels by PTB.

Reverse Engineering Software

Digital reconstruction software for engineering and sedign professionals. The software is powerful and easy to use, users can effectively, quickly and automatically produce accurate digital models from 3D scan data.
